Anxiety often shows up as fear based thoughts, rumination, intrusive (unwanted) thoughts, looping thoughts (the same thoughts on repeat like a broken record). It also shows up in our nervous systems. Some examples of this include racing heart, high blood pressure, shakiness, feeling frozen, braced, butterflies etc. All of this can feel overwhelming, as it impacts both our minds and bodies. As much as we may try, we typically can’t talk our way out of feeling, which is why I combine traditional talk therapy with somatic therapy techniques. I will help you understand and manage anxious thoughts while tuning into your body’s signals. This approach releases trapped tension and calms your nervous system creating space for lasting relief. Together, we’ll explore how anxiety affects your mind and body connection, developing personalized tools to help you feel more grounded, present, and resilient.
